Aspirin, Alumina, and Magnesium (Cama)

Category:

  • Analgesic

Description:

  • Antiinflammatory analgesic

Indications:

  • Temporary relief of minor arthritic pain

Contraindications:

  • Children/teenagers with flu or chicken pox symptoms (due to aspirin and Reye Sndrome association)

  • Asthma, bleeding problems, ulcers, patients on anticoagulants, salicylate allergy

Precautions:

  • Do not use during last 3 months of pregnancy

Adverse Reactions (Side Effects):

  • Tinnitus, dizziness

  • Rash

Dosage:

Administered orally:  Each tablet contains:            

  • aspirin 500mg

  • magnesium oxide 150mg

  • aluminum hydroxide 125mg

Adults: PO 2 tablets every 6 hours with a full glass of water.  Do not exceed 8 tablets daily.  Do not use in children under 12 years.
