As previously discussed in the chronic medical conditions section, make sure Miss Grainger is off all teratogenic medication. Aspirin, while its use is controversial during pregnancy, is being used to prevent thromboembolic events (rather than for aches and pains).

 

In this case, it is appropriate to continue its use during pregnancy. However, should you have any questions about medications your patients are on and their impact on pregnancy or vice versa, do not hesitate to speak with one of the listed resources.
