General Biographical Description: Laurence B. McCullough has served in the faculty of the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, for 21 years. He is the inaugural holder of the Dalton Tomlin Chair in Medical Ethics and Health Policy. He is author or editor of 12 books, more than 350 articles in the peer-reviewed literature, and more than 100 chapters in textbooks. Dr McCullough has collaborated with Frank A. Chervenak, Given Foundation Professor and Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City for more than 25 years. Together they have published more than 130 articles in the peer-reviewed literature and the first book on the topic, Ethics in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Oxford University Press, 1994), of which they are preparing the second edition in collaboration with John H. Coverdale, MD, FRANZP, Professor of Psychiatry and Medical Ethics at Baylor College of Medicine.
