General Biographical Description: Eric R. Sokol is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is Co-Director of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. He served as the Director of Gynecology Clinics at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics from 2005-2006. Dr Sokol also serves as an Advisor to the Board of Trustees of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and is a member of the Research Committee of that organization. He is the Editor of “Requisites in Obstetrics and Gynecology: General Gynecology,” a major gynecology reference text. Dr Sokol completed a subspecialty fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Brown University and joined the faculty at Stanford University in 2005.

Special Interests: Urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery, minimal access surgery, robotic surgery.
