| General Biographical Description: | Sandra R. Leiblum, PhD was professor of psychiatry and obstetrics and gynecology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as well as Director of the Center for Sexual and Relationship Health there from 1972-2007. She left to go into private practice in Bridgewater, NJ and also to serve as co-director of the New Jersey Womens' Wellness Center. She has authored more than 130 articles and 11 books on various aspects of male and female sexuality, including the popular Principles and Practice of Sex Therapy volume which is now in its 4th edition. She was the first president of the International Society for the Study of Womens' Sexual Health (ISWSSH) and past president of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research. She is the recipient of many prestigious awards including the Masters and Johnson's Achievement Award from SSTAR. |
